I have spent the last 30 minutes reading my friends/friends list in both, livejournal and insanejournal. I may sound dumb but is very interesting, I have seen that there are another people in the fandom whose journals I really like. I don't know why I didn't do it before.

In other news, is very unfortunate that Brad Fitzpatrick is leaving LJ/6A, and I say unfortunate because he couldn't have left in worst times. I'm sure this is not the debacle of Lj but certainly his departure can be interpreted as he doesn't like the way 6A is administering LJ. It is a possibility that he doesn't like it, I certainly wouldn't if I were him but that doesn't mean that he is completely against 6A either. Of course, the drama goes on and on and there wasn't a clarifying post from lj_biz as promised.

I got a perm account two years ago so leaving is not something I would like to consider as an option but that doesn't mean that I think that LJ/6A has been user oriented while handling situations that concern us, on the contrary, the more they need to come out and give explanations just to show that they value their users (many of whom have given a considerable amount of money to them) the more they seem to hide. I just hope that they don't activate the abuse feature before having their TOS fixed to every user can understand it without doubt, if they do I would certainly believe that 6A is full of crap. Anyway, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt because this time, it wasn't their fault.

In the meantime I have backed up my journal outside lj and I plan to update my backup journals frequently. Insanejournal seems to be the one that will become my serious backup, greatestjournal is slow but I will post my public entries there too, journalfen is not really attractive and it is really expensive but I'll also post my public entries there too.

These are the links:

red_sunflower@greatestjournal
red_sunflower@insanejournal
red_sunflower@journalfen

Feel free to friend me over there or here, just make sure to let me know cause sometimes I don't realize somebody added me.

I've backed up my lj here, 1326 entries. As many of you may know, my journal was completely locked till some weeks ago that I decided to make my fandom entries public. It looks like on the transferring the filtered posts choose the "school filter" that exists here. No one is in that filter so I guess no one can read my filtered posts.

Anyway, I guess should've made those posts private but is too late and I won't complain. I still have to decide if I will be using Semagic to post the same things in all my journals. I will probably switch to another backup journal once that Scribblit works but who knows. Besides, I hate that Semagic works with the rich format version, is there a way to turn it off?

Soooo....

LJ is still down at 9:05 Central Time. Bad because today I would have been able to read my friend-list at work and good because I'm posting in my backup journals.

Anyway, I have had fun with the conspiracy theories people has made up. The most silly is this one. Anyway, it looks like the backup power didn't work at 365 Main which is the company that hosts the Six Apart servers. Is a little bit shocking when you read about the company's little profile.

Anyway, is just a power outage and is not like lj is under terrorist attack so I guess that sometime during the night everything will be back on normal and I'm sure 6A will evaluate if 365 Main is worthy of hosting their servers or if they look for another alternative.

This is some kind of backup journal and safety zone in case that something horrible happens over livejournal.

Basically, I'm just saving the username of red_sunflower.
